Reviews from Past Workshops
“During the Mentorship workshop, it was very insightful to have two photographers from two different industries. For someone like myself who is unsure of what path to choose, I was able to reflect on who I connected with the most! I was motivated to sign up by the fact that the workshop involved Latinx/Latine trailblazers!”

FAQs
Our Friday photography intensives are focused on how you tell stories and interact with people and products in front of your camera. As long as you know how to operate your camera, and no one will judge you for having it on automatic, you will gain skills in communicating and connecting that will serve you for years to come.
Saturday’s workshops will be beginner friendly and meet participants where they are at.
Because we will be focused on storytelling and speicifically iwth a culturally concious lens, we beleive everyone can benefit from working with Adri, Veronica and Karina. Latina photographers are rarely invited to teach from their expertise, experience and cultural lens, so we believe there is something for everyone to take away from the experience.
Saturday will also be beneficial, unless you have unlimited funding and have no questions about how the industry is shifting with new technologies.
Friday, July 26th we will be at a studio located in Pilsen.
Saturday, we will be at a studio in McKinley Park.
Sunday’s meeting place is TBD.
Exact locations will be shared once you purchase a ticket.
Yes! We would love to have you as part of the Thrive, Fund, and Future-Proof: Sustainable Creativity Workshops day! You can select just the Saturday ticket. The Sunday photowalk is open to all participants.
The great thing is you can use any camera you have! Because we are not teaching technical aspects of photography, your camera can range in complexity. Film camera? Sure! DSLR? Absolutely. Mirrorless? Bring it along! My iPhone? Why not. Our main focus for the Friday intensives will be on connection, storytelling, and cultural narratives. As long as you know how to take photos with your camera, it will work.
On Saturday, bring a laptop or tablet to get the most out of the Funding Your Vision workshop.
It’s even better! You will have multiple teachers with multiple skill sets and perspectives. The phot intensives are limited because we want you to get hands on experience.
The workshops give you tools and insights to support your photography learning journey.
Sunday we learn in community. A photo walk is a casual and community based learning environment to practice and ask other questions.
